Zoom Gear EF16-35F4L


The Zoom Gear EF16-35F4L is attached on the Canon EF16-35mm F4L IS USM lens (*1) for zooming operation. Compatible lens port is either of Dome Port 2 + Shade 2 Set/Extension Ring M(*2) + Extension Ring 36 (*2) or Dome Port 115/ Extension Ring M (*2) + Extension Ring 36(*2).

Canon EF16-35mm F4L IS USM lens is supported by Dome Port 2 + Protector 2 Set and Dome Port 115. General characteristic using different dome ports are as below;

●When using Dome Port 2 + Protector 2 Set/Extension Ring M + Extension Ring 36
•When shooting at zoom wide end, an image will have better description by stopping down to F8.0 or further. (*3)
•Comparing to Dome Port 115, minimum focusing distance is shorter at 4cm/1.6in.
•Larger dome benefits you when shooting a split (half-water/half-air) image.

●When using Dome Port 115/Extension Ring M + Extension Ring 36
•When shooting at zoom wide end, an image will have better description by stopping down to F11.0 or further. (*3)
•Smaller and shallower dome supports you with easy lighting when shooting a subject in front of the dome at the minimum focus distance.
•Slightly wider coverage comparing to the Dome Port 2 + Protector 2 Set.
•Lighter than the Dome Port 2 + Protector 2 Set at 45g/1.6oz underwater.
•Inexpensive comparing to the Dome Port 2 + Protector 2 Set.
