■ Product features ■

•Having "UW Tripod Hub" as a fundamental part, this newly designed underwater tripod system offers wide variety of configurations of "pan-head parts" and "tripod legs".
•In addition to use on land and in freshwater, whole system is usable in saltwater thanks to specially selected material, surface finishing and assembling method. (*1)

● UW Tripod Hub features

•Designed to attach "Carbon Telescopic Arm SS/S/M/L" or "Stick Arm XS-T/SS-T/S-T/M-T" as tripod legs.

•Bundled ferrule offers two different styles depending on application.

•The UW Tripod Hub is equipped with 1/4 tripod screw to add "UW Panhead" or head part of variety of Shoe Base products (*2). Usable as a simple tripod by attaching underwater housing directly.

•The UW Tripod Hub offers three opening angles; [high], [middle] and [low].
Friction when opening/closing legs can be adjusted by tightening/loosening fixing bolts on joints.

•It is possible to add extra Lower Elevator on the packaged Lower Elevator to add 145mm/5.7in. in height.

Highest configuration with the UW 3-Way Panhead being raised in its highest position by bundled "Lower Elevator" and combined "Carbon Telescopic Arm L" are fully extended.


・It is also possible to hang down a camera system by attaching the elevator upside-down for extremely low angle shooting or shooting a subject just underneath of the tripod.

・There are several options to enhance stability of the tripod system including hanging a dive weight from the strap hole or jointing a dive weight by using a ball-joint on a tripod leg besides using a stone bag.

● UW 3-Way Panhead Features

•Specifically designed for the UW Tripod Hub equipped with large handles to offer comfortable yet précised adjustment of combined camera position.


•When transporting, two handles can be jointed as per below image.


•Using Bundled "Panhead Adapter Base" supports secure and reliable underwater housing installation. (*3)

・Using Bundled "Panhead Adapter Base" also enables to attach an underwater housing combined with "Grip Base M1" or "System Base II" (*4)(*5)

The bundled "Panhead Adapter Base" is usable only when a housing is equipped with two tripod screw holes (1/4 in.) with center-to-center distance of 33 to 80mm/1.3 to 3.1in. on its bottom.

To install an underwater housing combined with INON Grip Base M1, the underwater housing has to have two tripod screw holes (1/4 in.) with center-to-center distance of either 33 to 40mm/1.3 to 1.6in. or 44 to 80mm/1.7 to 3.1in. on its bottom.

To install an underwater housing combined with INON System Base II (Main Base II), the underwater housing has to have two tripod screw holes (1/4 in.) with center-to-center distance of 47 to 80mm/1.9 to 3.1in. on its bottom.

■ Modification ■

Ball joints on both ends of modified Stick Arms have tripod screw hole "3/8-16UNC".
Modified ball joint with 3/8-16UNC threaded hole.

By having the threaded hole on ball joints, modified Stick Arm can be usable not only as a strobe arm but also as a "tripod leg" of upcoming underwater tripod system. This modification expands versatility of Stick Arm with same effective length and compatibility of optional accessories.



Installed on upcoming underwater tripod system as legs.
One end is screwed in "UW Tripod Hub" and the other end is combined with a ferrule which comes with the "UW Tripod Hub".


Upon this modification, existing arm sets’ names are changed as below and current Stick Arm (without tripod screw hole) will be discontinued.

The "Strobe Dome Filter [4900K]" warms up native color temperature of the Z-330 5500K to 4900K while the "Strobe Dome Filter [4600K]" changes native 5500K to 4600K. Warmer color temperature delivered from Z-330 strobe through these filters benefits to enhance healthy skin of divers or highlight warm color subject. Also shooting in RAW with same white balance setting (4900K or 4600K) on a camera provides richer blue on background water column with keeping natural color of a subject lit by strobe light.

Shoe Base, Shoe Base Set, S-2000 Starter Kit to be discontinued

INON INC. announces discontinuation of the “Shoe Base” and “Shoe Base Set” in preparation of successor model to be released this April and both items will be available only from limited stock at our dealers. Upon discontinuation of the “Shoe Base”, “S-2000 Starter Kit SB” and “S-2000 Starter Kit D4” will not be available. (Still same combination as the “S-2000 Starter Kit D4” can be created by having “S-2000 Strobe”, “Grip Base D4” and “Z Joint” separately.)

■ UWL-100 28M55 Wide Conversion Lens Product Features ■

●Attached Directly on the Genuine Underwater Housing MPK-HSR1
•The lens mount is same M55 screw mount as filter screw of the MPK-HSR1 enabling you to attach the lens directly on the housing without any adapter.

●Compact yet Wide 100 degree Coverage
•The compact lens body matches with compact MPK-HSR1 without to provide handy wide imaging. The lens increases coverage dramatically to maximum 100 degree coverage underwater.

●Dramatically Shorten Minimum Focusing Distance
Minimum focusing distance of the DSC-RX0 on land is "50cm/1.6ft" which will be extended at x1.3 underwater due to reflection ratio underwater. By attaching this lens, minimum focusing distance underwater will be shorten to "118mm/4.6in" (*7) to enable you to take a Close Focus Wide Angle (CFWA) image.

●Lens Hood II for UWL-100 28AD is compatible
Optional "Lens Hood II for UWL-100 28AD" is usable to block unnecessary light coming from outside of lens coverage to suppress flare/ghost.



■ UCL-G165 M55 Underwater Wide Close-up Lens Product Features ■

●Attached Directly on the Genuine Underwater Housing MPK-HSR1
As same as the wide lens, the lens mount is same M55 screw mount as filter screw of the MPK-HSR1 enabling you to attach the lens directly on the housing without any adapter.

●Wide Close-up Lens with Deep Depth of Field
The optics design widens the coverage slightly to have benefit of deep depth of field making minimum focusing distance underwater "96mm/3.8inch" (*7) enabling to shoot a subject at closer distance.

●Why UCL-G165 M55?
The DSC-RX0 carries wide 24mm fix lens (*8) and its superior optical characteristic to have less aberrations creates pincushion aberration (concave center part) underwater. This aberration gets more significant with standard close-up lens and powerful lens has more degradation on image corners. The UCL-G165 M55 is so-called wide close-up lens, so the lens can suppresses the aberration and enables more close-up image comparing standard close-up lens. Comparison images as below.
