INON INC. is pleased to announce official release of [Video Base V2] for Canon digital camcorder [iVIS HF M31 (VIXIA HF M31/LEGRIA HF M31)]/[WP-V2](*1) and has confirmed compatibility with current INON attachment lens/arm..

    The [Video Base V2] is a dedicated optional accessory (*2)(*3) to attach lighting arm including [Shoe Base]/[D Holder] on Canon water-proof case[WP-V2](*1) and consists of a base plate which is specifically designed to match with unique base shape of Canon [WP-V2] and is attached on the case with the base plate and pressure bonding around the lens port to benefit to hold INON LED flashlight including [LE550-W]firmly.

    The [Video Base V2]can have compact [Shoe Base] on top of the lens port and two [D Holder]on both sides to support simple and compact set-up and upgrading to multi lighting system only with compatible flashlight(s) and lighting arm product(s).

    The [Video Base V2] and combined [Shoe Base]/[D Holder] does not obstruct to open/close the water-proof case and will not bother you when you need to change batteries with these accessories.

    The previous [Video Base V1] is not compatible with the [WP-V2] as it is but can be used in combination with optional "Base Plate (with 1/4 Tripod Screw) for Video Base・V2" in exchange of original Base Plate. Contact your purchasing dealer or INON for detail.

    Canon genuine balance weight [WW-DC1] is not usable together with this product.


Attachment Lens Compatibility

    INON "M67 Mount Series" attachment lens is directly attached on the [WP-V2].

  • Attachment lens for macro shooting
    • Both [UCL-330]/[UCL-165M67] is usable.

  • Attachment lens for wide shooting
    • [UWL-100 Achromat wide conversion lens "Type2"] is directly attached on the [WP-V2](*4).
    However, as same as compatibility for previous "iVIS HF21"/"iVIS HF20", our detailed compatibility test has confirmed that there is significant degradation of image quality on circumference part of an image comparing to compatible digital camera, so "compatibility is limited" only for those can accept sample images/movies quality in below link page.


Optional attachment lens for semi-fish-eye shooting

    The combination of [UWL-100 Achromat Wide Conversion Lens Type2] and its super wide option [Dome Lens Unit for UWL-100] is NOT compatible since this combination has more significant image quality deterioration than above [UWL-100 Achromat Type2] stand-alone use.
    Please refer sample image/movie in above link page to see image quality with this combination.

    The [UWL-100 Achromat Wide Conversion Lens "Type1"] is not physically attached on the [WP-V2].
    However [UWL-100 Achromat "Type1"] can be modified to [UWL-100 Achromat "Type2"]. Please contact your purchasing dealer for detail.
