UCL-100LD/UCL-100M67 Close-up lens
INON INC. is pleased to announce official release of new "UCL-100 LD" and "UCL-100M67" close-up lens on February 14th, 2013. They are designed to provide 100mm focal length (underwater) for high magnification photography yet high quality image, and effectively suppress vignetting even when using at zoom wide end of wide 28mm (35mm film equivalent) compact digital camera(*1). Two different types either 28LD compatible type or M67 screw mount are available to suit to your camera system.

・UCL-100M67 close-up lens
--Release date : February 14th, 2013
--JAN code : 456212143 710 4
The UCL-100LD/UCL-100M67 is designed mainly for compact digital cameras to deliver the best optical performance on magnification, working distance and image quality.
The UCL-100LD/UCL-100M67 standalone magnification is equivalent to +10 diopter (focal length: 100mm) which is stronger than the combination of UCL-165M67/UCL-330 (equivalent to +9 diopter) but not as strong as 2 x UCL-165M67(equivalent to +12 diopter) thus best suited to underwater macro shooters.
While these new lenses can capture even an expression of small marine life at zoom telephoto side, a user can appreciate its comfortable working distance (distance from lens edge to a subject) for lighting together.
Comparing to stacked existing close-up lenses, new UCL-100LD/UCL-100M67 promises you dramatically clear and sharp results with less optical aberration entire image thanks to their optical construction.

UCL-100LD
UCL-100M67
(*1)
Using on land and zoom wide end setting will have vignetting. Crop an image after shooting or zoom in until no vignetting is observed.
(*2)
Not usable for a compact camera with large master lens or with super zoom function, or an interchangeable lens for SLR system.
(*3)
When using add on "UCL-165M67" or "UCL-330", vignettig will be observed at zoom wide end underwater. Zoom towards telephoto side until no vignetting is observed.
(*4)
Depending on combined camera/housing, stacking with other close-up lens could have significant degradation on image quality. For detail, please refer to "INON UCL-100LD/UCL-100M67 Compatibility Chart" linked in below section.
(*5)
Focal length of "UCL-100LD"/"UCL-100M67" standalone and not combined focal length with camera’s master lens.
■ UCL-100LD / UCL-100M67 compatible product ■
This product is a close-up exclusively designed for standard compact digital cameras.
Usable combination of camera/housing for this product is limited as the lens is designed to deliver 100mm focal length (underwater) and high quality same time and suppress vignetting at zoom wide end setting.
Please check detailed compatibility information at below link page to see if your camera/housing is supported and add on close-up lens compatibility as well.

■ Product features ■
- 3 elements in 3 groups lens construction effectively suppress aberrations comparing to 2 elements in 2 groups lens. Inner optical surfaces (four of them) have antireflection coating to successfully provide superior quality images with high resolution and high contrast.
- Larger lens aperture effectively suppresses vignetting even using at wide end 28mm (35mm film equivalent) (*1).
- The UCL-100 makes minimum shooting distance short both on land/underwater enabling to get closer to a subject for close-up/macro imaging (*2).
- The UCL-100 LD has lockable INON "28LD Mount" to support easy, speedy yet reliable installation on "28LD Mount Base" while the UCL-100M67 carries M67 screw mount to provide wide versatility.
- The lens barrel has joint screw mount on its front side to hold another INON M67 series close-up lens for super macro imaging (*3)(*4).
