- Following Optical D Cable / external strobe support Panasonic "LUMIX DMC-FX40" / "DMW-MCFX40". When using with Inon wireless connection compatible strobe like "S-2000" together with Inon "Shoe Base Set" / "Grip Base D4", wireless connection operation is supported. Basically performance/operational limitation and usable strobe arm are same as when using with "LUMIX DMC-FX35" / "DMW-MCFX35".

Attachment lens compatibility with Panasonic "LUMIX DMC-FX40" / "DMW-MCFX40"(*1)
- Following mount base/attachment lens are compatible as same as previous model "LUMIX DMC-FX37"(*1). Basically performance/operational limitation and usable strobe arm is same as when using with previous model "LUMIX DMC-FX35" / "DMW-MCFX35"(*4).
- "28AD Mount Base MCFS5/FX35/FX40"(*2) --Same product as existing "28AD Mount Base MCFS5/MCFX35".
- The product name has been changed from March 30th, 2009 shipment.
- AD series attachment lens "UCL-165AD Close-up Lens" (*4) --available in the market

As same as previous model "DMC-FX37", the "DMC-FX40" has 25mm focal length at wide end and the combination with "DMW-MCFX40" / "28AD Mount Base・MCFS5/FX35/FX40" will have vignetting on land at wide end setting without an attachment lens (No vignetting underwater). Please use zoom middle range towards to telephoto side on land.

Compatible lens is AD mount series "UCL-165AD Close-up Lens"only (*4). The "UWL-100 28AD" is NOT compatible.
