「28LD Mount Base」 features

The 「28LD Mount Base・DC43」 is a fundamental and multifunctional base tray to expand your system with attachment lenses and strobe etc.
The Mount Base is securely attached on the compatible housing via tripod screw on the bottom of the housing and pressure molding around housing lens port. This structure allows you to add on optional accessories without excessive load on the housing.

●Attachment Lens Compatibility
The 「28LD Mount Base・DC43」 enables you to install wide variety of attachment lenses including INON “28LD Mount series” attachment lens such as 「UWL-H100 28LD」wide conversion lens (*3) to shoot wider area and 「UCL-165LD」 close-up lens to shorten minimum shooting distance for macro imaging.
INON supports to shoot all different type of subject from 『semi fish-eye』 in combination with super dome option to 『ultra macro』 and further enables to shoot 『underwater insect-eye』 imaging with simple yet reliable system.

●Strobe/LED flashlight Compatibility
By expanding your system with compact 「Shoe Base」 or 「Grip Base D4」 which is multifunctional strobe arm with grip function, on this product, you can combine digital camera compatible 『“S-TTL” Auto』 strobe INON 「S-2000」/「Z-240」/「D-2000」 and/or LED flashlight 「LE550-W」/「LE550-S」/「LE240」/「LE250」. Off course INON standard fiber optics system is supported to benefit reliable and faultless strobe firing underwater.
INON provides 『handy』/『compact』 as well as 『full-blown』 set with multiple lighting devices to support every underwater photographers to suit to various shooting style, skill, attachment lens, subject and condition to realize your creative intent with flexible system.

・ The Direct Base III is attached on majority of base products directly or on housings and particular bases via optional 「M6 Plate Direct Base III」 or 「M5 Plate Direct Base III」 to add INON Arm II system compatible ball-joint to link with an “arm” which is equipped with same type ball-joint or a strobe combined with 「Z Adapter MV」, 「YS Adapter MV」 or 「Direct Base III」 with 「Clamp III」.
・ Refined base design enables to attach on a strobe as well in addition to housings/bases. The ball-joint is made from metal to firmly fix strobe position by lightly clamp the 「Clamp III」 (it is necessary to loose the Clamp III to adjust strobe aiming). Depending on usage or preference, INON offers selection from 「Direct Base III」「Z Adapter MV」or 「YS Adapter MV」.

Lightweight and compact ultraprecise cast aluminum body
The X-2 for EOS60D is made from corrosion resistance aluminum alloy by ultraprecise cast manufacturing technique to fuse design, weight and durability in higher dimension. The cast manufacturing technique enables thin body plate with complicated curved design which is not possible with machining. Lightweight and durable aluminum alloy body has acquired reliability, durability and controllability even in severe underwater.
Stress-free control layout to Capture the Moment
Cast manufacturing allows flexible design to realize unique features for trouble-free imaging, where your right thumb and mid finger securely hold a housing without effort, index finger can naturally access to the shutter release lever and adjusting aperture or shutter speed can be easily obtained without seeing those dials during checking composition through its viewfinder. The INON X-2 for EOS60D pursues intimate controllability to “capture the moment” in addition to accessibility to all necessary controls/dials for underwater photography.

*For the concept of 『Capture the Moment』, 「Quick Control Button」, 「Multi Controller」 which requires to check the LCD pane, and 「Quick Control Dial lock release button」 are not accessible.
Proven and Reliable Waterproof Design
Buttons, dial levers are not directly attached on the aluminum alloy housing body but installed via brass bearings to prevent the aluminum housing body from galling caused by sliding of buttons and movement of dial levers to secure waterproof property. Only minimum parts replacement can refresh these controls even you need to change bearings. Buttons and dial levers carry oil bearing type INON yellow O-rings to prevent accidental flooding due to lack of grease. Also their size is thicker than required to enhance waterproof property.
Fully Compatible with “S-TTL” Auto Strobe System
Flooding-free four Optical D Connectors are equipped as standard feature to benefit simple yet reliable “S-TTL” Auto shooting simply by plug-in 「Optical D Cable Type L」. It is important to effectively transmit built-in flash light to fiber optics to benefit accuracy of S-TTL Auto. The X-2 for EOS60D housing is equipped with a mirror inside to induce built-in flash light to Optical D Connectors properly to provide stable and accurate S-TTL Auto exposure control.
Interchangeable four viewfinders
INON offers four different finder units to serve every needs. You can remove/install a finder unit by yourself with supplied dedicated tool to support you to choose appropriate finder unit depending on subject/shooting condition.
Wide variety of lens port to support from ultra macro to fish-eye imaging
Wide variety of lens system are supported including newly released Canon 「EF8-15mm F4L Fisheye USM」 lens, macro lenses such as 「EF-S60mm F2.8 Macro USM」「EF100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM」 and so on. All compatible lens ports are made from optical lens (multi-coated) to exploit high quality image captured by EOS60D. With INON unique MRS Port system turning lens barrel by magnetic attraction where you can control focusing without mechanical stress as like to adjust focusing by focusing ring directly on land. Off course INON 「UFL-MR130 EFS60 Underwater Micro Fisheye Lens」 is compatible so you can make unique footage with EOS HD movie function.

Product features

You can enjoy “underwater insect-eye lens” by simply installing the lens on your compact digital camera.
The UFL-M150 ZM80 is specifically designed for a compact digital camera which has compact master lens and ordinary zoom function enabling to shoot ultra-wide/super-macro imaging easily simply by installing the lens on INON “Mount Base” (*2). The subject side lens diameter is relatively small (32.9mm Dia.) and minimum focusing distance is 0cm to shoot so-called “insect-eye lens” imaging which draws a line against a standard fisheye lens.

Setting camera’s zoom at approximately 80mm (35mm film equivalent) gives you 150° view angle underwater (*3)
Even shooting a small subject which will be exposed as a dot by a standard fisheye lens, the UFL-M150 ZM80 will capture it in entire image thanks to its compact lens diameter.

Broad compatibility supported by adjustable screw lens mount (*1)
The lens barrel has threaded wall to adjust lens position back and forth to accommodate with different master lenses among many compact digital cameras (*4).

Fully compatible with INON “S-TTL” Auto mode
You can take full advantage of INON “S-TTL” Auto strobe mode supported by INONZ-240, D-2000, S-2000 to benefit appropriate exposure images simply by pressing shutter release button.

The lens keeps same brightness of camera’s master lens
The UFL-M150 ZM80 is an afocal system conversion lens which does not affect focal ratio of combined master lens and benefit you to use camera’s AF (auto focus) function as it is.

Before purchasing [UFL-M150 ZM80]

This product is a particular conversion lens not like conventional fisheye lens. Please read through below to understand the characteristic this product before purchasing it.

This lens is designed to capture a small subject in entire image in its vicinity to obtain so-called “insect eye lens imaging”. So its optical design makes lens diameter relatively small and provides minimum aberrations when shooting a subject just in front of the lens. If you intend to shoot whole underwater landscape, use a standard fisheye conversion lens.

This product is designed for underwater use only. Not usable on land. Use a tank or bathtub filled with water when conducting test shot on land.

When shooting, zoom towards to telephoto side at approximately focal length 80mm (35mm film equivalent) until no vignetting is observed. Shooting at wide end setting will give you a circular fisheye image (view angle 150 degrees).

Since the lens has small diameter and enables to shoot at 0cm from a subject, depth of field gets enormously shallow when shooting few mm away from a subject. In such a case, it is recommended to use small aperture setting.

This product is not compatible with any of INON “Lens Holder” due to product feature to adjust mount position back and forth by screwing it.

It is recommended not to use the built-in flash when not using an external strobe since the built-in flash light could be blocked depending on housing, shooting distance or angle of view etc.

Be well conscious of marine environment and marine lives not to stress and harm them when shooting with this product.

Strobe/LED flashlight Compatibility

When shooting with【“S-TTL” Auto mode】, images will get slightly underexposed in all shooting range. Use flash compensation function of the camera to set flash compensation value between +0.7E.V. and +1.0 E.V.
S-TTL Auto modes is usable only when 『XZ-1』built-in flash is set to “TTL”.
INON strobe is not supported by Olympus “wireless RC flash system”.

When using「S-2000」/「Z-240」/「D-2000」in【Manual】,or【External Auto】mode, deactivate Advanced Cancel Circuit Switch and set camera’s built-in flash to Manual mode.
If camera’s built-in flash is set to auto-metering (force flash) mode, external strobe flash range more than -1.5 EV in【Manual】mode or actual flash out-put more than -1.5EV in【External Auto】mode (D-2000/Z-240) is not usable.

The 「Video Base V2」 is a dedicated optional accessory (*2)(*3)(*4) to attach lighting arm including 「Shoe Base」/「D Holder」 on Canon water-proof case「WP-V3」(*1)/「WP-V2」(*1).

The「Video Base V2」consists of a base plate which is specifically designed to match with unique base shape of Canon「WP-V3」/「WP-V2」and is attached on the case with the base plate and pressure bonding around the lens port to benefit to hold INON LED flashlight including「LE550-W」firmly without rattle.

The「Video Base V2」can have compact「Shoe Base」on top of the lens port and two「D Holder」on both sides to support simple and compact set-up as well as upgrading to multi lighting system only with compatible flashlight(s) and lighting arm product(s).

The「Video Base V2」and combined「Shoe Base」/「D Holder」does not obstruct to open/close the water-proof case and will not bother you when you need to change batteries with these accessories being attached on the water-proof case.

Maximum view angle is『100.8°』underwater /『179.0°』air (*1). Optional super wide option「Dome Lens Unit II for UWL-H100」further widen its view angle up to『144.8°』(*1).

As same as the INON「UWL-H100 28LD」, the UWL-H100 28M67 Type1/Type2 uses highly refractive optical elements enabling larger effective diameter of the rear optical element in compact size to accommodate with latest camera model carrying larger image sensor and brighter master lens.

The UWL-H100 28M67 is equipped with「28M67 Mount」which is same as highly versatile 「M67 Mount」to attach on camera system. There is a selection either of Type1 or Type2 to accommodate with wide range of compatible cameras to enhance combined camera’s performance.

Optional「M67 Screw Ring Set for UWL-H100 28M67 Type1」or「M67 Screw Ring Set for UWL-H100 28M67 Type2」makes it easy to modify original lens to other type (*2).

The INON 「Grip Base M1」 is usable. The Grip Base M1 is specifically designed for midsize underwater housing for micro four thirds digital SLR. Firmly attached on a housing with two tripod screws and base legs provide stable placement of combined housing. Wide variety of INON adapters/bases is compatible with the Grip Base M1 and easy to set-up multiple lighting system with dual strobe configuration by attaching extra「D Holder」. The INON 「Shoe Base」 is directly attached on the accessory-shoe of the underwater housing to set up compact system.

When attaching strobe/LED flashlight only on the underwater housing hot-shoe via 「Shoe Base」,
camera system will have positive buoyancy at 10g/0.4oz. So using optional balance weight from camera manufacture would be recommended to get negative buoyancy for the sake of safety.

To highlight a subject by illuminating the subject only

Always conduct test shots to familiar with the product characteristic before you take an important shot. When using the S-2000 in S-TTL Auto mode for spotlight effect of this product, center spot metering mode on a camera is recommended since average metering mode or multi pattern metering mode could wash out the center of an image. In case S-TTL Auto mode does not provide appropriate exposure, use Manual mode.

Make sure to cool down the「S-2000」according to instruction manual/[Compatible battery, operational limitation on flashing] leaflet provided with the S-2000, to prevent overheating/degradation of light emitting part/inner components.

Before purchasing "UFL-MR130 EFS60"

The UFL-MR130 EFS60 is dedicated conversion lens for INON X-2 housing and INON "MRS60 Port II" is necessary to attach on the housing. This product is precisely designed including distance between all optical elements and optical axis specifically to use for INON "X-2"and compatible lens port and not usable for other manufactures' housing carrying different optical design and/or optical axis misalignment.

S-TTL Auto and other auto exposure mode is not usable due to optical characteristic(overexposed) When using an external strobe, use "External Auto" where a strobe controls exposure or "Manual" mode.

Stop down aperture as much as possible to accommodate with the optical characteristic of ultra wide/super compact fisheye lens and 0cm focusing distance. We would recommend shooting F13 - F32. In case of underexposure, use higher ISO setting to compensate it. The more you open the aperture, the more you have significant aberration on image periphery part.

AF (auto focus) is not practicable due to extremely shallow depth of field. Attach "MRS Magnet Ring 60 Set" on the lens and shoot with MF (manual focus).

"45°Viewfinder Unit for X-2" or "Straight Viewfinder Unit for X-2" which provides x1.0 viewfinder image, is recommended to assist focusing within shallow depth of field.
